Talat Kürşat  

Our founder Mr.Kursat was born in Paphos/Cyprus in 1947 and following his secondary  

education he studied law in England and was qualified from MIDDLE TEMPLE, Inns of  

Court, as a Barrister- at- Law in the year 1973. 

Mr.Kursat  completed his pupilage in a legal Chamber in Nicosia and in early 1974 was  

admitted to both Bar’s of Cyprus and TRNC. He has been practicing the legal profession 

since then. 

Mr.Kursat is the Chartered President of the Nicosia Suriçi Lions Club and also one of  

The founders of The Mediation Association of Nicosia. He is, at present, the Vice  

Prtesident of this Association. 

A short time ago Mr.Kursat headed a Committee, which undertook to prepare a draft 

Bill on Mediation. The Draft was prepared and is now before the Hight Court for  

Approval  which when it is approval Mediation will be integrated into our legal system. 

Since the submission of a piece plan by Koffi Annan, the Secretary General to the 

United Nations, to the leaders of the Turkish and Greek sides of Cyprus, Turkish 

Parliamentarians as well as almost all T.V and radio Channels in North Cyprus have 

Been inviting our senior partner Mr.Kursat to advice the public on the legal aspects of  

The Plan 

Mr.Kursat is married with two children one of whom (Akan Kursat) is the partner of  

Our legal firm 

Akan Kürşat

Akan Kursat was born in Nicosia on  June the 15th, 1974. After completing his Secondary education at the Bayraktar Turk Maarif College he went to England where he was admitted to study law at Buckingham University. He was graduated from this University in the year 2000 with LL.B Honours title. He has done his Pupilage with Talat Kursat & Co legal Chambers, after which he became a partner to the Firm.  

Akan is married to a colleague of his and has a newly born baby.  

 Zehra Yalkut Bilgeç

Zehra Yalkut Bilgeç was born in Nicosia ( 1982 ).  

She graduated in law from Do ğ u Akdeniz University in 2003. She has done her pupilage with  Talat Kür ş at & Co (2004). 

She was admitted to the the Bar of the TRNC in 2004.

Meliz Erdem

  Meliz Erdem was born in Nicosia ( 1982 ).

She graduated in law from Ankara university in 2003. She has done her pupilage with   Zeki .A. Bayram law office.  

She was admitted to the the Bar of the TRNC in 2004. She completed her Master education in Leicester University ( 2005 – 2006 ). 

Her main area of practice is public law. 

 Pembe Bahat Atasagun

She was born in Nicosia (1983). 

She graduated in law from Do ğ u Akdeniz University (2007).  

She has done her pupilage with Talat Kür ş at & Co (2008).  She was admitted to the Bar of the TRNC in 2008.
